I read on an article somewhere that pokestops may actually get more uses in future updates; and thought that it would make a good discussion.

What sort of uses could pokestops (and gyms) have that they don't have now.

Also... To add to the discussion, do you think they'll add more Modules similar to the 'Lure Modules', and also additional ways to get them other than level up and in the shop!

Well it would be great if they gave more items...but that would hurt them in microtransactions lol. im sure we will get all sorts of new items including different pokeballs and modules.

simple one: if you put a lure on a stop that it has a timer to see how much time you have left on the lure. i had one used 2 days ago but couldnt estimate how much time i had. also a timer for how long it takes for a pokestop to be "plunderable" again .

Ya a timer for lures would be great. as far as the Pokestop thing, its every 5 min.... 5min isnt long enough or worth it having a timer for.

You have a point there. As with a strategical round walk taking 5-7mins you can farm them endlessly

I think they should eventually implement more ways to interact with a pokestop.

    Team based mini games?
Ones that give new / rarer items like lucky eggs and modules? New kinds of modules and balls?

    Possibilities are endless!

Of course, they'll inevitably add future generations of the series eventually... (Can't wait for Johto and Hoenn!!!)

What sort of module you reckon they could add? Interesting one that... Hmm...
Pokeball types are endless... I reckon the master ball will be in the game somewhere.

Lure modules don't have a timer on the users screen? Damn! Thought they would have had that already, that kinda sucks!

Well one idea that comes to mind is a lure that attracts type specific Pokemon, or maybe one that attracts stronger Pokemon. Maybe we can get fishing rod type items that help us catch water types better. The Masterball is in the game but just like Ditto and the Legendaries it's inactive.

A stronger lure for better pokemon is no bad idea at all. Though the fishing rod, how do you want to use it? I personally fond a whole lot of water pokemon around here.

Probably when they up the level cap (they will... eventually) you'll get it for hitting level 50 (master ball that is)

I think they could offer items for teaching specific attacks!

Or that you can switch attacks. Cause at times pokemon have weird attacks that i doubt they can learn in the game.

The Different lures is a good idea, depending what type of lure it is will depend on what pokemon would spawn.

My idea is to have evolutionary items from the games. If a certain Pokemon need evolutionary item (Thunderstone, etc), so maybe they don't need the Pokemon Candy requirement?

Multiple ways to evolve a Pokemon sounds like an interesting mechanic.

You can either use that item...
    Or save for candies...
