I live in Cali in Pasadena so there's tons of gyms and Pokestops everywhere but I've heard it's tough for some people who live in rural areas. How's your location?

I live in rural Indiana and it's really tough. Not many Pokemon spawn out here and we only have two stops and one gym within walking distance. It's very much a drive to a more populated area and THEN walk game for us!

That said, tonight we went to the closest nearby town of size and sat on the courthouse square with about 30 other people. There are three stops on the square and people were popping lures on them left and right. Folks were introducing themselves, trash talking other teams, and generally having a blast!

I live in a mid-sized town and so far I've been to two different parks that have several stops. I haven't had a day off yet, but I plan to go exploring more. It's fun and amazing how many complete strangers I talk to now.

I have a trail and a small community center about a 10-30 minute walk from my house that I like to frequent, but the real hotspot is UNC campus which is like a 10 minute bikeride away for me

Oh right! There's a couple colleges around here. I didn't think of trying them. I've just hit central ave and a couple parks. Biking does seem to be the way to go though. I need to buy a bike.

Mine is pretty terrible. In my neighborhood I have a gym and a stop which is surprising since there's little monumental about the place. Past that, you'd have to actually go to town 5 minutes away for other stops. Everything around here for the most part is Rattata, Pidgey, and Weedle anyway so eh.

What frustrates me is I live by a river, spent a couple hours at Giant Springs and since launch i have only found one water type, a Goldeen.

Houston suburbs are slim pickings for much of anything. So far, my best hunting ground is 30 minutes away, and even then it's not like being in a highly populated city.

I live in a small city in IN. We're covered with stops and gyms around our court house. We have a stop at my job as well. Just wish he had a gym there.

It's relatively quiet where I am actually.
There are 2 gyms near my house and a few Pokestops but I need to walk into town before I see a load of them.

I need to wait to go into the city to see what difference that makes.

Seems like I may be the only forum user from the uk right now though. (We've only had the game since Thursday).
